An exhibition has opened in Berlin devoted to the Warsaw Rising which began on August 1 1944. The Rising saw oppressed Poles in Warsaw rise against the Nazi German invaders.
Organised by the Union of Warsaw Insurgents and German Society for Good Neighbourly Relations with Poland, the exhibition will detail the Rising's cause and the effects it had.
The exhibition toured much of Germany's cities last year on the 65th anniversary of the Rising.
